Conyers Kids teaches performing arts classes with a strong focus on strengthening the artist abilities of each child. Our students receive a 1 and 1/2 hr. class once a week which is broken down to roughly 30 min. of acting, 30 min. of singing and 30 min. of movement. Though we boast a “One stop shopping” opportunity for parents, our commitment is to support the family and educate the child. With that in mind we, we are education oriented and stay away from mandatory rehearsals, big performances and costume/ticket fees.
Joey Fargár, the Executive Artist Director, has many years experience in theatre and choreography. His seven year performance career includes the musical CATS (performed in Vienna, Austria), West Side Story (Europe), A Chorus Line, and most recently, he played “The Fiddler” in The Fiddler on the Roof at the Fox Theatre. Locally, Joey is known for his expertise in teaching performing techniques and choreography to the historical but talented group Class Act. His unique and creative class instruction has been invaluable for many years at all three Rockdale County high school theatre programs.
